About the Author
Raghuveer R Reddy was born in India on January 7, 1944. Known as “Raghu” among his friends, he graduated from College of Engineering, Osmania University, in 1965. Having worked for a year at BHEL, he moved to the US where he obtained MS in Industrial Engineering, and subsequently secured a MBA degree while working. He started his career in Cleveland, Ohio in 1967. Worked as an industrial engineer at Warner & Swasey Co. In 1971, he joined Bailey Controls Company in Wickliffe, Ohio, and became Manager of manufacturing engineering. After completing MBA at Case Western Reserve University, he joined NRM Corp in 1976 as Manager of customer service and aftermarket sales and subsequently got promoted as Director of Marketing. In 1984, he joined Eaton Corp. on the corporate staff as Manager of Consulting at their Corporate Manufacturing Services Center. Eaton is a conglomerate with many divisions. Here, he developed and conducted training programs for senior plant managers. In addition, he provided consultancy services in productivity improvement. From 1988 to 1994, he worked in India as an independent management consultant and management trainer. In 1995, he went back to the US and worked as Director of Operations for the US and Far East for a semiconductor company in California. Since his retirement in 2003, he is into traveling, helping and advising young people on how to develop their careers.
