Blossoms from the Bough

This book is a compilation of poems, articles, and middles written by the author while he was in Goa as well as during his stay in Kenya, where he spent a considerable part of his life. These articles and poems, written by the author at various stages in his life, and on various subjects, are a reflection of the times he lived in. The author hopes that these experiences should provide the same pleasure and inspiration to the readers of this book as they did to him. About the Author Hermogenes (Harry) J.N.J. Furtado was born in Varca, Goa on 19th April 1933. Was educated in St Paul’s High School Belgaum, Loyola High School, Margao and Goan High School, Mombasa, Kennya. After completing Senior Cambridge, he did a stint of teaching in Mombasa, then joined the Customs Department of the East African Community, during British Rule. Subsequent to Afiicanisation, he returned to Goa and settled with his family in Margao.
