There are seven colors in a rainbow, and they are all hidden in a single ray of white light. There is beauty in the simplest things, and so much of it that a blinding flash of light could just as easily be perceived as a glowing rainbow. The beauty lies, however, in us finding it, and so we must continue to look. we must yearn to see more, even if it is just to continue to look simply in appreciation of the beauty of the rang-e-noor, of the colors of the light. About the Author Kunal datta was born in Los Angeles, California in 1991, and moved to New Delhi, India, with his family, where he currently attends Vasant Valley School. He is a twelfth grade student and is the Head Boy for the academic year 2009-10. He loves to read and write and has been writing articles for the school newsletter, besides being the editor of the science magazine. Kunal is a avid musician, and plays a number of intruments including the guitar, saxophone, violin, piano, drums, and the flute, an is the bassist and vocalist of his band, phi(re). Phi(re) performs at many venues in and around Delhi, and is affiliated to the charity Visions of India – which works for the welfare of the socially and economically underprivileged-selling a performances, handmade dolls made by underprivileged women. the band also works and performs for the We For yamuna drive initiated by the group Swechha. On Friday evenings, he plays music teacher to underprivileged children, teaching them to play the guitar and to sing.
